PROM!
As high school is ending, (which I am very sad about) prom is one of the last times friends and upperclassmen will all be together. It’s a happy day because it’s all about friends, dates, and dancing yet it’s also a sad day because it’s the last school dance you will share with your class.
For me, prom was AMAZING! I absolutely loved every aspect of it. I had decided to wait until senior year to go to prom because I wanted it to be one of those memories that i’ll have forever. I went with my friend Chance who was one of my first friends when I moved to Nebraska last year, he is a daywalker (which I think is pretty badass). The theme was ‘Forever for Tonight’ to be honest it was kind of lame but i’m not big into themes so it was cool with me.
Highlights of Prom:
When the DJ played The Downfall Of Us All by A Day To Remember, my friends and I flipped out! There was a mosh pit and it was epic, although my feet were trampled on it was well worth it. I mean how many people can say that there was a mosh pit at their senior prom?
Being voted a Senior favorite was also amazing. Instead of Prom King and Prom Queen my school does Senior Favorites. It’s badass. Instead of just one couple there are four different catigories that each couple can be voted in to. I didn’t think I would win since i’m the newest student.
Another fantastic moment was Post Prom. Post Prom is just a huugggeeeee party after prom but people are in casual clothes and there is food everywhere. It was amazing. The post prom for my school was held at this bowling alley/arcade/ball pit place. I spent most of my time in the ball pit with my favorite Nebraskans.
Well I can’t think of anything else at the moment. To sum it up prom was definitely one of the highlights of my senior year. I spent it with great friends who I will miss so much once I move back to California and i’m glad I was able to have such a great memory with them.
